Job Title:
Field Service Engineer - Office Equipment


Position Summary:
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be an integral part of a team that helps to ensure that important information capture operations at our customers facilities and Reynolds run at peak efficiency.


As part of the team, you'll help install, train, maintain and repair all types of document scanners and microfilm equipment at Reynolds and at customer facilities including government, manufacturers, colleges, financial institutions and many others. Comprehensive training is provided but you must be mechanically inclined and have solid problem solving/troubleshooting skills.


  • Status: Full Time

  • Hours: Monday to Friday - Typical hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

  • Location: Home office in Emmaus, PA and customer sites within a 90 mile radius - no overnight travel required other than a few days for training


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair document, book, wide format and microfilm scanners including hardware, software, and basic integration

  • Maintain and repair microfilm equipment

  • Communicate and interact well with customers including training and re-training, status of calls, explanations of problem causes and resolutions, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Must pass background checks and drug screenings

  • Must have a reliable vehicle

  • Must possess an analytical thought process and solid problem solving/troubleshooting skills

  • Must have the ability to quickly determine the root cause of a problem, be it with hardware, scanning software, operating system, etc.

  • Must communicate and interact well with customers (users, managers, IT, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED, technical/trade training or college degree preferred

  • Experience repairing document scanners, printers, copiers and/or multi-function devices is preferred

  • Experience installing, upgrading and repairing basic scanning software is preferred

  • Basic networking experience is a plus
