Image Format Conversions

Document images are typically created within organizations on a multitude of devices - multifunction devices, scanners, smartphones, fax machines, etc. Images also arrive from external sources in an even wider variety of formats. This range of formats presents a significant challenge for information management. Some image formats are not compatible with internal systems, some are not accurate representations of the original documents, some are vendor proprietary, some are poor quality, etc.
